The Bedtime Shuffle

Paige was once a little girl who loved to go to bed. In fact, she used to ask to go to bed, but I'm afraid those days have passed us by with great sadness. Nap time and bedtime are proving to be more more challenging these days.

Paige has finally realized that not only can she climb into her big girl bed, but she can climb out! It usually takes about two wardrobe changes and a trip across the hall to her future siblings' room before she settles in for a nap. The night time routine doesn't involve a new outfit, but it usually includes a few trips to her bedroom door where she stands waiting to be tucked back in to bed.

Tonight was priceless. I tucked her back in twice and thought she was down for the count after a few minutes of fussiness. I went to check the hallway and I found little toes peeping out from underneath her door! Too funny. She was just standing there in the dark waiting for me. So... like any patient mother would say, "Paige I can see your toes." Upon opening the door I see sweet ole Paige smiling ear to ear. Rather than assisting her on this one I asked her to get back into bed. Without any fuss she did just that. She quickly accounted for her baby and tiger and snuggled in tight, but couldn't get it quite right. She was missing "soft blanket". How could I refuse to help? In I went and covered her little pink toes, said good night and I love you for the third time to make it just right. With only a slight wimper to be heard she was out like a light.

Sleep tight little one...

Blog Neglect

I'm sad to report that it appears that the memory card from our camera has been corrupted. I'm hoping it can be rescued, but things aren't looking to good at the moment. This is no excuse for the neglect of Paige's blog as of late, but life has been rather hectic.

I've been working a lot trying to wrap things up before baby #2 arrives next Wednesday, March 25th. We're scheduled for 7:15 am. The baby is breech so it will be a c-section delivery just like Paige. Life as we all know it is about to drastically change.
Paige has been spending a lot of time lately with Mimi & Papa, Nana, Gramps and Mema. They have all been so helpful, giving me the time I need to run errands, work and rest as much as possible.

Paige even had a sleep over with Mimi and Papa on Sunday night. She got her little toes painted pink for the very first time. She's been showing them off to everyone since!
