For the past few weeks Paige has had a strange fascination with her nose and the nostrils that are part and parcel. She's recently discovered that she has two holes in her nose that her fingers nicely fit into. I personally can't stand fingers in the nose, perhaps I'm scarred from my teaching days.

Olympic Swimming Trials
The afternoon rainstorms the last few days have left little room for swimming, but we've learned to improvise. Here's to hoping that Paige will be a much better swimmer than her mom and can earn her red laynard at Red Pine Camp with grace and ease.

Don't Forget To Stop And Smell The Flowers...
Just for the record, our kid isn't totally crazy. She is smelling the flowers that are scrolling across the T.V. Ok, so it's not exactly normal, but at least she's taking time out to stop and smell the flowers! :)

Sunday Snuggle
Today was a very rare occasion for us. Paige started crying this morning around 7 am instead of her usual wake up chatter. I chose to ignore her in my sleepy stupor, but something came over Jay and he retrieved Paige from her crib and brought her to our room. We don't usually bring her to bed with us, but there was something very different about this morning. Paige stayed in our bed for three hours sleeping and snuggling. She took turns snuggling with each of us. At one point I opened my eyes to see her nuzzled next to her dad, if only I had a camera... the image however is imprinted in my mind. It was incredibly sweet to see daddy and his little girl fast asleep.

Wanna Waffle?
(Note: I'm trying to hone my movie skills, please bare with me.)
My parents always told me that breakfast was the most important meal of the day, I guess that's why Paige got up extra early today to partake (before 7 am ugh). Blueberry waffles and milk were on the menu this morning. A little voice across the room always makes sure that I know what's for breakfast, "Waffas, waffas, waffas", as she patiently waits for the toaster to do its thing. Mmmmm.... waffas what a wonderful way to waggle into the weekend.
It was a busy day with Nana Nancy. Three dips in the pool, reading books, playing with blocks and lots and lots of eating (big surprise there) capped off with the usual backyard romp.
I have no idea what Paige was up to yesterday when I was busy working, but she was in very good hands. She spent the day all by herself with her Mema and Gramps and loved not having to share them with her cousins! :)
On Monday night Papa came over to babysit all by himself. She slept like an angel until 8 am the next morning. I don't think Papa is sharing his MGD is he??
